Each summer since 1997 the Caribou Utilities District has taken the opportunity to employ area college- bound students during the summer. In the past only two students were taken on but currently between four and five students become not only part of the local workforce, but the Caribou Utilities District family as well.

College students who were employed over the summer months at the Caribou Utilities District were guests of honor at a company picnic held Aug. 13. The students will be returning to the college studies as the summer draws to an end.
