University of Maine at Orono Deans List

Recently the University of Maine recognized 1,947 students for achieving Dean’s List honors in the fall 2011 semester. Students from Caribou who made the Dean’s List, included: Molly Bell, Meagan Bossie, Emily Collins, Victoria Dorman, Casey Lancaster, Vincent Lewis, Danielle Loggans, Danielle MacDonald, Kelsey Morin, Jessica Ouimet, Amber Pelletier, Bryant Sirois, Phillip St. Peter, Kyle Staples, Josh Stubbs and Nicholas Willey.

Also named to the Dean’s List were Finn Bondeson, Jordan Powers, Jesse Stephens and Matthew Trombley, all from Woodland; and Christopher Gustafson of New Sweden.

Eastern Maine Community College

Sarah B. Coppola of Limestone was named to the Eastern Maine Community College’s President’s List for having a grade point average of 4.0.

bs-school note-dcx-ar-7Lydia Kieffer just finished her first semester on the Dean’s List at UMPI, with a 4.0 grade point average.
Majoring in business, Lydia is a member of UMPI’s Marketing Club and works at both United Insurance Kieffer Agency as a commercial lines account tech and also a Certified Level I ski instructor at Bigrock, in Mars Hill.

Officers of the Caribou High School FFA requested, during Tuesday council meeting, that Caribou Mayor Kenneth Murchison and the Caribou City Council sign a proclamation recognizing February 18-25 as FFA Week.
