Residents of the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center celebrated Valentine’s Day with a party and the crowning of the 2012 King and Queen — Clifford Chalout and Barbara Duplessie. Melissa Saucier, activities director for the center, said that “they were very surprised and still are to this day.” Saucier added that residents, family and friends helped celebrate the holiday with their loved ones. Other activities during the Valentine’s Day celebration included music by Warren Archer, Paul Smithkey and Art Cullins.

With the recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, cases of returning soldiers suffering from post traumatic stress disorder have been increasingly recognized. One of the tools used to bring comfort to these veterans are videos that depict calming and comforting scenes.

Paul captures Republican caucus majority vote PDF  | Print |

Congressman Ron Paul captured 59 percent of the vote at the Aroostook County Republican Regional Caucus events held in Fort Kent, Presque Isle and Houlton on February 3-4. Aroostook County Republican Committee Chairman, Hayes Gahagan, said “Ron Paul was the clear winner at each of the Aroostook County Caucus Events.”
